The Common Ground Alliance’s (CGA) annual conference is a shining example of collaboration and shared knowledge in action, bringing together damage prevention experts from all over the world. We appreciated the opportunity to represent Wolverine Pipe Line Company at this year's conference, which took place in the fun-filled city of Orlando, Florida.
At the CGA Conference, professionals from different walks of life gathered with a common interest in the safety of underground infrastructure. Our group was excited to attend the many informative presentations on the latest developments of disaster preparedness and technology.
The "Women in Damage Prevention" panel was a highlight for us. As supporters of equality and diversity, we found the panelists' accounts of hardship and eventual triumph motivating. Gender equality, leadership development, and encouraging women to assume positions of responsibility were all topics discussed in this session.
During the panel discussion, we heard from inspiring women about their lives, struggles, and eventual successes. Mentoring, making connections, and learning new things were all cited as ways to advance one's career. It was eye-opening to see firsthand how diversity and inclusion aren't simply buzzwords, but rather essential ingredients for success and growth.
In addition to the inspiring panel discussion, the CGA Conference was rich with chances to connect with like-minded professionals. Underground infrastructure protection was a hot topic in the exhibit hall, where cutting-edge technologies and novel approaches were on display.
As we leave Orlando and the CGA Conference, we take with us a lot of information, ideas, and contacts. Our sincere appreciation goes out to the Common Ground Alliance for hosting such an outstanding conference, and we appreciate the chance to have represented Wolverine Pipe Line Company in Orlando.
